‘Jokers Wild’ is another popular variation of Video Poker machine that you’ll commonly find at decent online casinos. The basic gameplay for Video Poker can be found in our Beginners’ Guide if you’ve never played before (essentially it’s a hybrid of 5-card Poker and Slots).
With Jokers Wild machines a Joker is added to the standard 52 playing cards, and this card can assume the identity of any card you like to form the best ranking hand. This extra ‘wild’ card also gives rise to some additional hands not found in games like Jacks or Better – the Five of A Kind and the Wild Royal Flush (a Royal Flush achieved using the Joker). Jokers Wild machines also usually have a higher ranking minimum winning hand, either set at Two Pairs or a single Pair of Kings or better.
