You may not have heard of Jacks or Better, but it is one of MANSION’s most popular (and fun!) games. You try to get the highest-ranked poker hand possible by holding your best cards. Payouts begin at a pair of Jacks.
If you’re a Video Poker newbie, check out the rules and regulations of the game in the ‘How To Play’ section. If you’re a seasoned player, then just go right to our ‘Game Features’. |
|
| MANSION.COM's Jacks or Better Game Features: |
|
1. The game uses one 52-card deck that is shuffled after each game. One 52-card pack is used.
2. The number of coins you use determines your winnings. Take a look at the game window for the payout table
3. You have the choice to double if you win.
How to Play
In Jacks or Better, the object is to get the highest 5-card poker hand that you can. You’ll get 5 cards in each game and you need to figure out which cards you should hold until the next round. When you figure that out, the game is over and you get new cards.
You can take a chance to double your winnings if you have a winning hand.
Wagering
You need to wager before you get any cards.
You’re In Control Of How Much You Wager:
Option 1 – To pick the number of the coin you want to use, use the coin selector in the bottom middle menu bar.
Option 2 - To pick the number of coins you want to play the game, click the ‘Bet One’ button. You can also play the 5-coin maximum by clicking ‘Bet Max’ – the cards will be automatically dealt.
Beginning Play
Click ‘Deal’ to start the game after you’ve chosen your coin value.
You’ll get a total of 5 cards face up from the Dealer, and you will be able to choose the cards you want to keep. When you’re ready to do this, just click on the card and the word ‘Held’ will show across the face of the card. If you make an error, just click on the card once more to delete the world ‘Held’. After you hold the cards you want, just click the ‘Deal’ button again and you’ll get new cards to replace those you didn’t hold.
Doubling
You’ll get the chance to double, IF you have a winning hand. If you choose to do so, you’ll get 5 cards from a freshly shuffled 52-card deck. You will get the first card face up and you have to choose one of the other 4 cards.
You win and double your money if the card you choose is higher than the first. A ‘push’ (tie) is called if the card value is the same, and you get your winnings from the last round back. Of course, you lose if your card is lower.
You can double up to four times in a row.
You can double a maximum of 4 times in a row.
