Our Hi Low game features the following:
1. Hi Low is played with one deck of 52 cards. Cards are shuffled after every round.
2. Aces are low.
3. Tie side bets are available with a 10 to 1 payout.
4. You can win up to 10 times the table limit.
5. When you don’t want to press your luck, your ‘Cashout’ option lets you take the money and run.
How to Play
Hi Low is great for beginners and one of the easiest games to learn. You have to figure out if the next card dealt will be higher or lower. In Hi Low, the Ace is the lowest card and the King is the highest.
Wagering
Your account settings determine your available maximum and minimum wagers. To change them, simply use the Min/Max button, or go to ‘Options’ and change the wager level.
When you’re ready to wager, just choose the chip value at the bottom right-hand side of the screen. Then you need to click on the bet marker in the bottom middle of the screen. If you want to add more than one chip, just click a desired number of times.
To take a chip off the table, just hold down the ‘SHIFT’ key and click on the chip. Click the ‘Clear’ button to remove all bets.
Playing Hi Low
When you’ve placed a bet, you can click on the ‘Deal’ button, and you’ll get one card. Then you need to figure our if the next card is going to be higher or lower.
The potential payout for each choice you make is displayed on the screen. The card you draw determines the payout – the closer a card is to the middle of the pack (e.g., 6), the bigger the payout might be due to the increased risk.
You win the amount shown if you pick correctly. The amount is added to your stake amount automatically, meaning you next bet will be your winnings in addition to your initial stake.
If you guess right, you have the choice of continuing the game (choosing the next high or low card) or choosing the ‘Cashout’ option. You can continue playing until you either hit the maximum winnings, which is 10 times the table limit, lose, or you’ve had the maximum number of allowable cards (12).
In the case of a Tie, your stake remains the same (i.e., you don’t win or lose). You do have the option of betting on the outcome being a tie (tie side bets).
Tie Side Bets
When the game starts, you can choose to bet on a tie (both cards have the same value) – for example, two Jacks or two 9’s. You can’t just bet on a tie, a tie side bet is addition to your main bet. Your winnings are automatically added to your balance if you win a side bet – they’re not added to your stake.
You can bet on ties whenever you want; you can bet on any amount up to the table maximum.
Payouts
The value of the card being bet determines the payout. Ties pay out at 10 to 1. The following table shows the multiplier for each card in the deck.
