   Newer Slots: Part 1
Let's explore the newer creations from the slot designers. We will take a peek at 8 slot designers in this 3 Part Article.

We begin with Konami and Mikohn.

Pennies, one cent, two cent and more are everywhere.
This small brown coin has now reached jackpot proportions with new bonus game offerings. Usually found with larger denominations, the newer bonus slots offer many an opportunity through bonus credits, multipliers and free spins for all slot players to enter the 'big bucks' kingdom of slots.
You will notice that the slot creators do not toss out the old, for classic reel-spinners are being re-tooled and introduced again for the approval and anticipation of the slot-playing public.

Konami Gaming: one of the highlights of this Japanese slot manufacturer is their Progressive: Fusion Series offering several denominations, including pennies, two cents and nickels.

This slot line allows players who wager the minimum to activate all the paylines on the base game to qualify for one of five progressive jackpots. Banks of this game are placed along with a huge video screen. You won’t miss the Fusion – visible from across the casino floor.

Linked to any or all of seven different Konami video slots, the hit frequency of the big jackpot and selection is better than other competing slots such as Wheel of Fortune.

Further, the hit frequency is 50% or higher and overall payback percent is 90-92%.

The seven slots in the Fusion Series are: Days Off with a lazy office worker. Archer’s Legend, a medieval-themed game. Cash Inferno presenting the fire company and their favorite dog. Egyptian King surrounded by his ancient land and Barkin’ Bucks featuring a cartoon dog. ER Fever takes you into the operating room and Splash Party swims along the beach.

These slots will guarantee an exciting adventure for all slot players casino in that there is a diverse array of slots to try.

Konxion, another slot series, presents an unusual screen display in that winning combinations are paid when symbols connect in a chosen pattern, as there are no paylines. The player wagers 1-30 30 coins per pattern and chooses from six possible connecting patterns. The easier patterns completed pay less than the higher pays for difficult patterns. Ahh…the challenge is about to begin.

The Bonus feature is activated when three or more similar symbols appear scattered on a screen to trigger a free game features. The player then selects a number of free games along with a multiplier.

Look for Egyptagon and Eastern Prince slots in this series.

Some other slots that will catch your attention are: Rocky the Contender, based on the Rocky films, ER Fever featuring two bonus events with a crazy animated doctor and his nurse and African Treasures adding a second bonus screen and bonus spins for a safari you will not soon forget.
Konami does not forget traditional reels as noticed by their Advantage Series. Search for slot names

Highway 777, Sparkling Sevens and Egyptian Kings.

Let’s end this tour with a scaweee slot, Ghastly Gold to include Frankenstein, the Mummy and Werewolf cast as the bone-chilling and fun characters that bring us free games and wild offerings.

You have to be impressed, with not only Konami’s offerings, but also the success they have found in what is surely a very competitive market.

Mikohn Gaming: brings back a slot player’s challenge with a third version of Battleship from the famous board game. Called Battleship: Take the Plunge offers a bonus round triggered by the reels, setting a steel ball in motion through the top box pegs and into chambers featuring bonus amounts affixed to battleships.

Sink the Ship and gather those bonus credits.

You will see similarities from the Battleship bonus round with two new games utilizing the pachinko style top box released previously in a series called Gravity Pays. As the ball is set in motion, through the pegs, bonus amounts will appear in a display at the bottom box. Unusual for slot bonus rounds, this one is not pre-determined by the RNG, but dependant on motion alone. Rock-A-Billy is the other pachinko game with a classic jukebox design.

Another returning friend sure to tickle our funny bone is the popular character, Garfield the cat.

After last year’s, It’s all About Me slot, we now look forward to Odie’s Revenge. The new 9-line version with a top box bonus wheel focuses on Garfield’s constant irritant Odie, the dog with an appearance by Jon, owner of both.

There are two second screen bonus events each of which end at the mechanical top box game. Odie’s Bath involves a player- selection bonus sequence while In Drown the Clown, Odie tosses balls at Garfield who is in clown garb. The idea is to dunk his enemy and watch the fur and water fly.

After completion of bonus rounds, the top box comes into play serving to display multipliers in the range of 25X to an awe-inspiring 500X.

Your chuckle for the day is provided by Office Daze, an amusing look at office world, with worker drone and boss characters gathering for two bonus events. Look up above for a workers’ time clock along with the main characters gathered around a dartboard displaying bonus multipliers.

The first bonus event is titled Vending Machine Madness where the hapless office drone tries to empty the contents of a vending machine before his break ends. Secondly, there is the Five O’clock Dash bonus event where the office worker sprints to the door before his boss discovers he’s gone. Rack up those bonus points for each stride that gets our comic character closer to the exit. With success, the top box multiplier will reward a well-deserved payday of up to 500X.

Lastly, a couple of reel spinners for the Latin market, featuring favorite entertainers: Tito Puente and Celia Cruz with both English and Spanish text on the slot will round out the Mikohn slots presentation.
