WHERE THERE IS A WILL (HILL) THERE IS A WAY . . . |
| |
It’s splendid to see that a large überbookie like Will Hill isn’t so immersed in traditional sporting and gaming bets that it can’t find time to service the needs of more avant-garde gamblers. A quick browse of their press releases page online reveals there still plenty of insane punters ready to bet on some seriously outside bets. Probably top of the tree for wacked out wagers was that placed by a Glaswegian postie happy with the twenty million to one odds offered for Elvis Presley to fly a UFO into the Loch Ness Monster. However if those odds seem a little too close to ‘evens’ for your tastes, William Hill can apparently offer odds of SEVENTY SIX MILLION to ONE for the world to end on a specific date – quite how you’d collect after winning this bet I’m not sure . . .
Frankly these bets are ridiculous, but I am tempted by Will Hill’s odds on John Prescott to win the 100 metres at the 2012 Olympic games. At a million to one, that’s better odds than winning the National Lottery jackpot and I’m happy to encourage anything that’ll get the useless gutbucket out of his office.
