LADBROKES CASINO |
| |
So, I'm just back from checking out Ladbroke's casino..thought I'd share some of my observations with you!
I was really a bit disappointed at the website presentation on first glance. However, I'm not one to get hung up about how a website looks - I'm actually more concerned with how well it functions.
Ladbrokes has a mindblowing number of games available- to the tune of 160 in the download casino and 100 available via instant play! First I tried the download casino games, knowing that the quality of the games is usually better – and boy, was it ever! I played the download version of Texas Holdem Poker. The software was easy to download (even with my slower connection) with crystal-clear instructions, and the game was incredibly lifelike and easy to play. Registering my account was quick and easy. While I was on the site, I learned that the games at Ladbrokes are generated by Microgaming's Viper software – ah, so that's why the games look so rich! I was also able to try the instant play casino games, and they were good quality as well, but predictably not as rich as those in the download casino. I do have one gripe though…I tested the instant play software on my Mac machine and just could not get it to work. Wonder what happened there…
Since I'm a rather experienced online casino gamer, I was very impressed by the live dealer option offered at the Blackjack table. The rumble of the casino and voice of the dealer, (along with the £100 I won!) really enhanced my experience. I think those of you new to online gaming will like this neat little feature too.
On the subject of casino newbies, the site could do a little better with helping new casino players navigate the site and learn more about the games. There weren't any game previews, in contrast to other online casinos on the 'Net, and online help was rather basic. I really did miss seeing a FAQ section, which is present on even the most rudimentary websites. Definitely, Ladbrokes needs more information to help newbies try out their casino. I do want to add that I had a question about playing one of the games, so I had to get in touch with customer support – I was thrilled to find that they had a 'live chat' option – so I got my question answered quickly and efficiently.
When it comes to bonuses, Ladbrokes offers the usual suspects in the form of new player and loyalty bonuses. But I thought that the real star of the show was the progressive jackpots, especially in the Player's Club! From the size of that jackpot on the day I visited, Ladbrokes has a lot of regular players!
All in all, Ladbrokes online casino was a real winner – taking into account the quality of the games and the size of the jackpots, there's no reason not to go for 'Brokes! |
